Bob Goff
Bob Goff’s background is a blend of managing high technology growth companies and venture investment-related activities. He has more than 30 years of marketing and senior executive experience in managing the rapid and profitable growth of (3) semiconductor product companies ranging in size from start-ups to 1000 employees with annual revenues ranging from 0 to $100 million that resulted in multiple strategic mergers and IPOs. In addition to his corporate responsibilities, Mr. Goff was professionally engaged in Mergers & Acquisitions & Strategic Alliances during the 1990s and continues to be active in venture funding of early stage technology enterprises. His passion is the confluence of education, entrepreneurship and technology. He is a strong advocate for collaboration among complementary organizations to achieve accelerated progress throughout the State and region.Mr. Goff is the Founder and President of the Sierra Angels and serves on a number of Boards. He was recently two-term Chair of the University of Nevada-Reno College of Engineering Advisory Board, serves on the Advisory Board of UNR College of Business and is President Emeritus of Nevada Technology Council. He is a Trustee of Sierra Nevada College. He is Chair of Golden Capital Network (an established regional network of numerous VCs, Angel Groups and profession service providers for the advancement of tech-based entrepreneurship) and a former Board Member of TechAlliance. He recently was appointed to the founding External Research Advisory Board of UC-Davis. He serves on Comstock Magazine’s Editorial Board and is an active participant on a number of educational and economic diversification committees in both the public and private sectors. His MBA is from Santa Clara University supplemented with executive programs from Stanford University.
