Scott Frost
Scott Frost served as the founding Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Smart City Networks (formerly known as US Telcom) when the company moved its headquarters to Las Vegas in 1998. During his tenure the company more than tripled in size and became a leader in the event-based telecommunications industry. In January of 2000 while working for Smart City Networks, Mr. Frost started the Technology Business Alliance of Nevada (TBAN), a statewide trade association designed to foster high-tech growth in Nevada. As Chairman, the Technology Business Alliance of Nevada (www.tban.us) became Nevada’s largest high-tech trade association concentrating on creating economic diversification through attracting and growing high-tech and web-based businesses in Nevada.
In November of 2001, Mr. Frost founded Desert Frost Ventures, a business development and capital-sourcing firm with its headquarters in Las Vegas, Nevada. As Desert Frost Venture’s Managing Director, Mr. Frost specializes in capitalizing and managing start-up gaming, hospitality and technology related businesses. Under the umbrella of Desert Frost Ventures, Mr. Frost was co-founder and General Manager of (www.VegasHotSpots.com), Las Vegas’ premier nightlife entertainment and event planning company. He is currently co-founder and President of Titan Nightlife Group (www.TitanNightlife.com), a company that develops, operates and promotes nightlife entertainment concepts for the exponentially growing Resort & Casino industry in Las Vegas and beyond. In addition, he is a partner in Vici Technical Services (www.vicitech.com), a tech staffing company with offices in Boston and Las Vegas.
He serves on the board of several start-ups and is dedicated to the economic diversification of Nevada’s economy and the State’s long-term economic prosperity. Presently, Mr. Frost serves as Immediate Past Chairman of Nevada’s Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology (www.ncet.org) a public-private partnership with the State of Nevada that is dedicated to accelerating economic growth through entrepreneurship and technology. Mr. Frost is also co-founder of the Vegas Valley Angels (www.vegasvalleyangels.com). The group markets the Vegas Valley’s best gaming and technology deals to angel and venture capital groups and has become the leading angel investing group in Las Vegas.
Mr. Frost received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in marketing from the University of Nevada in 1988 and lives in the Las Vegas area with his two children.
